Our school day starts at 8.45am when the children calmly walk in and get ready for the day ahead. Following registration, our mornings consist of daily reading/phonics, writing (this is either skills based or cross curricular), handwriting/spelling and maths lessons. We also come together during this time for whole school Collective Worship.
Lunch starts at 12 noon for our children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), followed by Year 1 at 12.10pm and the rest of the school at 12.15pm. After play, the children return to their classrooms where the focus is on the wider curriculum subjects such as PE, computing, creative arts and humanities.
Religious Education is taught for two hours each week where the main focus is learning about the Catholic faith as well as other world religions. For KS2 this is on a Tuesday and EYFS/KS1 on a Wednesday.
Please see below a more detailed outline of our weekly curriculum.
