Vision and Values

Vision Statement

At Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Primary School we seek to create a unique and enabling environment whereby children and staff are encouraged to journey beyond their expectations – academically, socially and spiritually – within a culture based upon Gospel Values.

We will bring our vision to life by:

  • Promoting and living our Catholic faith;
  • Building relationships to support and enable learning;
  • Inspiring our children and staff to do their best always and everywhere.

Our School Values

The ethos of our school is built on a foundation of  Christian core values which are addressed directly through the teaching of The Gospels, Collective Worship, RE lessons and across the whole curriculum. Each term we focus on a particular value. We learn to understand what the value looks like and how we can demonstrate the value, in the way we behave, in our attitude towards each other and in our learning. Parents and carers  are encouraged to develop the termly value at home.

Our School Values were chosen by the whole school community (staff, children, parents and governors) ; our school values are as follows:

  • Kindness
  • Honesty
  • Perseverance
  • Respect
  • Responsibility
  • Trust

Values Day

At the start of each new school year, we hold a Values Day.   This is an opportunity to revisit our values to ensure that everyone is clear about what they mean ready for the year ahead.
