Term 5

This term, Year 2 are facing an exciting curriculum. 

• English lessons will explore Dear Teacher by Amy Husband. Pupils will develop grammar and language skills and show everything we have learnt so far this year within our writing.
• Mathematics will focus on 2D and 3D shapes, addition and subtraction, fractions, place value, temperature, volume and capacity.
• Religious Education (RE) will deepen students’ understanding of the Holy Spirit and its significance.
• Science will cover microhabitats. We will explore what different habitats look like and what different insects and minibeasts need to survive.
• Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE) will explore health and wellbing and ensuring we are looking after ourselves.
• History is exploring how we learnt to fly. We will be exploring the different significant events involving the first flights.

This term promises an exciting mix of learning opportunities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking across all subjects.
