The Governing Body wish to appoint a highly motivated and talented Key Stage 2 practitioner to support our Headteacher and dedicated staff on its journey of continuous growth and development. The school is in the middle of an exciting school improvement journey and works in partnership with local and Diocesan schools to support its development.

***This is a maternity cover post from 1st September 2026 until 9th January 2027, or upon the return of the current postholder, if earlier.***
We are looking for someone special who:
- Is a qualified teacher with a passion for KS2
- Someone who embraces our Catholic ethos and values
- A team player who is committed to high standards and continuous improvement
- Has experience and is familiar with teaching systematic synthetic phonics (SSP), ideally ReadWriteInc.
- Is exciting and innovative in the classroom – demonstrating excellent classroom practice through creative and challenging teaching.
- Champions the needs of the most vulnerable learners.
- Can communicate and achieve high expectations for pupils in personal achievement and behaviour.
- Is knowledgeable and reflective of current educational practice and national expectations and can drive standards.
- Has an understanding and passion for developing and delivering continuous provision
- Is able to motivate and inspire others, and work collaboratively with colleagues.
- Is committed to education in a Christian setting, and can actively contribute towards the school ethos.
- Is an excellent communicator with a kind, supportive and calm disposition.
- Is reflective and keen to grasp opportunities for further self-improvement.
