Modeshift Movers

Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Primary has been working with South Gloucestershire to achieve Platinum Modeshift STARS recognition award (Sustainable Travel Accreditation and Recognition for Schools) for encouraging more of our children and staff to use sustainable methods of transport to get to school each day.

We are proud to have already achieved GOLD recognition for our commitment to getting more children actively travelling to school and the children feel happier and healthier and they arrive at school refreshed, fit and ready to learn. More families actively travelling to school means fewer cars on the road during the school run and helps to reduce congestion and pollution at the school gates.

The Golden Lock incentive takes place a few times each year, whereby one of our Modeshift Movers will put a "Golden Lock" on a scooter and bike and that child will win a prize. The Modeshift Movers will conduct a bike/scooter count whilst the incentive is running.

We have a scooter and bike storage area which is open and locked daily and can be found near the main school gate/entrance.
