School Council

This year, our School Council has been formed with enthusiastic representatives from Year 2 to Year 6. Each member was elected by their peers after confidently presenting a speech outlining why they would make a positive and responsible representative. This process not only celebrated student voice but also highlighted the importance of democratic participation within our Catholic school community.

Mrs Parinello will be facilitating School Council meetings throughout the year, guiding students as they learn about leadership, service, and working together for the good of others.

At their first meeting, the newly elected members explored their roles and responsibilities as leaders in the school. One of their first tasks is to create a Suggestion Box for each classroom. These boxes will provide all students with the opportunity to share their ideas about how to make our school an even better place. School Council members have begun designing and constructing these boxes and have already spoken to their classes about how they will be used.

We look forward to seeing the wonderful ideas, projects, and initiatives that the School Council will bring forward this year as they continue to represent student voice with pride, respect, and a strong sense of community.
