Catholic Life and RE
At Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Primary School, we embrace everyone so that they have a deep sense of belonging to our school family and the wider family of the universal church. Our vision is for our children to Love, Live and Learn as Jesus taught us and we will bring this to life by encouraging/enabling our children to:
· LOVE generously, by living out the Gospel Values in all we say and do.
· LIVE life to the full, through charity work, acts of kindness and growing and celebrating our talents.
· LEARN deeply, so that we use our knowledge to make good choices
so that they are inspired and empowered to be modern day disciples, working together to build a better world.
Religious Education (RE) is at the heart of everything we do. It is not only a subject but a way of life that shapes the values, character, and spirituality of our children. Through our RE curriculum, we encourage pupils to deepen their understanding of God’s Word and to embody the love and teachings of Jesus in all that they do.
In addition to academic learning, the Catholic life of our school is nurtured through prayer, liturgy, and the active participation of students, staff, and families in the life of the Church. We celebrate the values of kindness, respect, and faith, creating an environment where each child can grow spiritually, morally, and academically.
As a community, we are inspired by the example of Our Lady of Lourdes, whose life of faith, humility, and devotion calls us to live in service to others. Our aim is to help each child flourish by instilling in them a sense of belonging to both our Catholic family and the larger world, always guided by the teachings of Jesus.
