Term 3 Learning

This term, we have a range of exciting new topics planned across the curriculum.

In Writing, the children will explore two inspiring texts. Our first focus will be If I Were Prime Minister, where pupils will develop their persuasive skills by writing a speech about how they would improve our school. Later in the term, we will study Vlad and the Great Fire of London, using the text as a stimulus for creating informative posters about what makes a good leader.

In Mathematics, we will build and extend our understanding of key concepts, including place value, addition and subtraction, measurement, and geometry. Children will also develop their knowledge of 3D shapes and learn how to read and use time confidently.

In Science, we will be learning about everyday materials, investigating their properties and exploring which materials are best suited for different purposes.

Our new RE topic is From Galilee to Jerusalem, where pupils will deepen their understanding of key events and themes.

In History, we will be asking the question “How did we learn to fly?” Children will explore significant pioneers of flight and examine how their innovations have shaped modern air travel.
