School Food United - Order (and Pay) for your child's meals
A NEW ONLINE ORDERING SYSTEM FOR SCHOOL DINNERS IS HERE!
As you are already aware, AiP Ltd took over the catering at Our Lady of Lourdes on the 1st September 2023. With effect from Monday 8th January 2024, we will be using their system to order and pay (if applicable) for all school lunches.
School Food United (SFU) will be the new online system for ordering your child's school dinner. You will be required to create an account and link it your child/children - it is very easy to do - just follow the instructions in the links at the bottom of this page.
Once you are registered you can order your child's meals and pay for them (if applicable). YOU WILL ALSO BE ABLE TO ORDER THEM A WHOLE TERM IN ADVANCE, IF YOU WISH TO DO SO. However, please talk to your children daily about their selected option, so they know what to expect at the serving counter.
Please note that School Food United (SFU) will not allow arrears, so unless your child is eligible for Free School Meals you will need to pay at the time of booking.
FAQ's
What if my child is in Reception/Year 1/ Year 2 and we are entitled to Universal Free School Meals? You must still create an account so that you can order their meal choice. The entitlement is applied to their account and you will not be charged for meals.
What if my child decides at the counter they don't want what has been ordered? The kitchen will provide what has been ordered as parents have already made the choice; the production of the meals has been made to order; dietary requirements are followed and already planned.
I have forgotten to order a meal for my child and missed the deadline of 8.00am. Please inform the office as soon as possible. Your child will be given the safe meal which is Jacket Potato and Beans (allergen controlled) and Fruit as dessert . If you normally pay for your child's meal, you will be billed for this lunch by school (an invoice via School Spider).
What if my child is entitled for Free School Meals (benefit related)? You must still create an account so that you can order their meal choice. The entitlement is applied to their account and you will not be charged for meals.
What if my child has an allergy but I have not informed the school? Please notify us immediately. We will only be able to offer a safe meal until a special diet form has been completed and bespoke menu put in place.
What if I have already informed the school that my child has an allergy? You should have already agreed a bespoke menu with the catering team. When booking a meal you should select the bespoke/special menu only and pay in the normal way (if you pay for school lunches).
What if my child comes to the service counter at lunch time but has not ordered a meal? Your child will be given the safe meal which is Jacket Potato and Beans (allergen controlled) and Fruit as dessert . If you normally pay for your child's meal, you will be billed for this lunch by school (an invoice via School Spider).
What if my child is ill and I have forgotten to cancel their meal order? We ask that you endeavor to cancel the meal, however, in the event that you have not done so the school office will cancel the order for you. If you pay for school lunches a 'credit' will be made to your account.
How far in advance can I order meals? You can order meals on any day that the menu is live and you can book up to a whole term in advance.
