School Uniform

The governors and staff of Our Lady of Lourdes aim to promote a positive and distinctive image in our community and a strong sense of belonging. We believe that the wearing of a uniform will assist this process as it can instill a sense of pride and community.  A smart appearance helps to reinforce the school’s message about its standards and high expectations for every pupil.  The school therefore expects every pupil to attend school clean and tidy, wearing the authorised uniform in line with the overall ethos of the school.

 

We have divided the year into two seasons to align with the summer and winter uniform:

Winter uniform: Terms 2, 3 & 4

Summer uniform: Term 5, 6 & 1

PLEASE MARK ALL ITEMS WITH YOUR CHILD’S NAME CLEARLY!! 

 

  • Footwear policy is sensible dark coloured shoes, preferrably black.  Trainers can be worn but must be black in colour with no visible logos or trims. Trainers, boots or shoes with large heels are not considered suitable.
  • Jewellery should not be worn to school.  Consideration is given for newly pierced ears but plasters will need to be provided from home for your child to cover their earrings for P.E., games and swimming.
  • Please ensure your child’s hair is appropriate for school.  Hair bands/scarves if worn should be navy.
  • Make-up and nail varnish are not to be worn.
 

SCHOOL P.E. UNIFORM

The children should wear their PE uniform on the days they have PE. The Term 1 PE timetable is as follows:

Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 - Tuesday and Friday

Years 3 and 4 - Monday and Thursday

Years 5 and 6 - Monday and Wednesday

 

The PE uniform consists of:

 

Logoed navy hoodie

Logoed navy fleece jogging bottoms or Logoed navy performance bottoms

Logoed navy shorts

Logoed house t-shirt
