Footsteps in Faith - Chaplaincy Across Our School

All pupils, irrespective of their own background – Christian, other faith or no formal faith background – are welcome to actively engage in developing their own personal relationship with God.  Whilst staff will not make judgements on the ‘quality’ of a pupil’s faith, we will provide opportunities for pupils to explore aspects of faith and enable them to explore a personal faith journey whilst at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Primary.

Meeting these criteria may be achieved in, but not exclusive to RE Lessons.  Staff should make pupils aware that criteria may be met in all aspects of partaking in the Catholic Life of the school.

Pupils will receive a footprint badge for every 5 criteria they successfully achieve.  The criteria in bold drives the focus of the task. Completion of criteria must be evidenced based and validated by a class teacher or staff chaplain. Criteria are written in a developmental order and staff are encouraged to work methodically through the criteria.  New criteria can be added or customised by the teacher or chaplain, as appropriate.

Records of work can take any form i.e. presentation, picture, poster, as well as discussion in class.  It does not have to be written to support those who have difficulties in the area of literacy.
